How To Determine Hand of Door & Frame
Hand All Doors By Standing Outside — Facing Door
FRAME ROUGH OPENINGS
Welded HM Steel Frames = Add 2 1/4" each side and at top
3-Piece KD HM Steel Frames = Add 1" each side and top
Timely Prefinished Steel Frames = Add 5/8" each side and 1" at top
Aluminum Frames = Add 5/8" each side and at top
(add the above to the nominal door size)
